My name is Manal Hassan, was born and living in Cairo, Egypt.
I'm currently working as the IT officer in an egyptian NGO called ArabDev (which focuses on the use of ICT for development) and I'm a co-founder of the egyptian GNU/Linux users group (EGLUG).
For the sake of flame wars, I use Mandriva 2006, Pekwm as a window manager, and Emacs as my main editor.
My interests are:
- Reading (Fantasy, Contemporary fiction, Science fiction and the Egyptian Blogs)

- Working with Children
- Building Websites
- Belly Dancing
