Simos hails from Mytilene, Greece. He is currently doing his PhD in Information Security at the University of London. He has been using GNU/Linux for over a decade and has extensive experience in the use of open-source security tools and solutions. Apart from security, he has been involved in the localisation of open-source software in the Greek language since 1998. Simos is currently an active member of the GNOME Localisation project and provides friendly mentoring in localisation to translation teams.
