Kerryn McKay is currently a researcher at the LINK Centre at the University of the Witwatersrand where she is involved in various projects concerned with Creative Commons licences, which has included educator training facilitation.

She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Rhodes University, majoring in Journalism & Media Studies and English. Kerryn has previously worked in the advertising and publishing industries, and has also held the position of marketing researcher at an online marketing company which operates within the international e-commerce arena.
