I'm a director of the Zuza Software Foundation mostly known for our Translate.org.za project which translates Free and Opensource software into the 11 official languages of South Africa.

Please also look at the Translate Toolkit which is a set of tools which aims to reduce the pain of localisers especially in projects like OpenOffice.org and Mozilla.
